Pre-Treatment Advice

Medical Aesthetic Treatments:

  • Please arrive at your consultation or treatment without any or minimal make-up to maximise time with your Cosmetic Nurse.

  • Avoid taking any blood thinning medication or non steroidal anti inflammatories such as ibuprofen (nurofen), aspirin, naprogesic, voltaren for one week before your treatment to minimise the risk of bruising.

  • Cease natural supplements atleast one week before you treatment e.g. fish oil (Omega 3), St John Warts, evening primrose oil, garlic, vitamin E, ginseng and green tea.

  • Avoid consuming any alcohol atleast 24 hours prior to your treatment to minimise the risk of bruising.

  • If you are planning to book a medical aesthetic treatment consider making your appointment atleast 2 weeks before a special event to allow for sufficient recovery time.

  • If you are planning to conceive, currently pregnant or breastfeeding please refrain from booking a treatment. There is currently no gold standard evidence to support the use of medical aesthetic treatments during this time and your safety is our priority.

  • Ensure there is no active infection in the area to be treated, contact your Cosmetic Nurse to reschedule if this applies to you.
